Common facilities

We have invested in making observation facilities that are second to none. Each viewing room has two mirrors: one into a large group room, and another into a smaller 1:1 testing/interview/breakout room. A kitchen is available on each floor.

The group rooms each offer:

  • Two high-definition cameras, recording high-def and DVD-quality simultaneously. (Both camera feeds can be viewed in the viewing room, record high-def to their hard disk, or you can supply your own SDHC cards to record HD footage to, which you can then take with you at the end of the session).
  • 55" Full HD LCD TV.
  • Blu-ray/DVD player with surround speakers.
  • Mac Mini connected to the TV, with high-speed internet connection.
  • Additional connections for VGA, DVI and HDMI input to the TV.
  • Flexible table and seating layouts.

The 1:1 rooms each offer:

  • PC with Morae user testing software.
(On-screen display mirrored to two displays in the viewing room, with high-quality sound)
  • 37" LCD TV able to display camera footage and sound from the group room.

The viewing rooms each offer:

  • Two large-screen (37" or 32") displays able to display input from any source in the group rooms.
  • Two 20" displays showing on-screen input from the 1:1 rooms.
  • Four speakers outputting audio from either group or 1:1 rooms.
